hi guys -

I'm not sure if hmonitor( the mb temperature / voltage measurement program) has killed xtc mode on my machine, or wot?!

I've had a random reboot issue on my daw(running logic 5.5.1, power pulsar, sfp 3.1) for a while where some synths ,like the ed16i would cause an immediate shut down and restart. the rest of xtc has been working fine!

see : http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 5&forum=32

I had suggestions such as overheating or not powerful enuf power supply so installed hmonitor to keep tabs on my mb and cpu temps etc

however.. since yesterday when i try to start logic with xtc, i get the message "ASIO : Driver returned zero outputs, (-10016)" followed by "XTC not properly installed"..

I've removed hmonitor, reinstalled logic , reinstalled sfp, checked that my power pulsar is firmly in the pci slot, and still the message and no xtc plugs. I've been searchin google for that error code and no luck...

on the bright side, since xtc just worked str8 away outta the box with logic for me i had never looked at the sfp project stuff, and now have spent the morning doing the xtc tute by gonzoft at :

http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=3&8

doesn't seem to matter what XTCProject.pro i'm using - still get the same error...

can anyone help me ?

thanks,

Andrew

by the way... i've just had a look around and found another freeware mb monitoring program, motherboard monitor v5.. this was recommended by a few peeps.. might try this when i get xtc running again.

Oh and also - I'd just recently started using the digital audio inputs on the power pulsar to monitor dig audio coming from my laptop (cw machine as word slave), don't know if this could have screwed things up...

cheeers

erm... just a little more info - I guess my last resort will be to blast away this xp and put a new one on there ,right... start from scratch

well i could always do that, unless someone tinks there's another way
