Important Message from Creamware re Registration

Attention CreamWare users
Due to technical difficulties with our server in Germany, We ask you kindly to give us couple day to fix the problem.
CWaudio is fully aware of the problem with the registrations and keys code and our team in Germany is working very hard to have it repaired soon.
However the influx of emails at this moment is making it somehow difficult.
To correct the problem we are adding new systems that will be installed this weekend in order to handle the huge amount of requests hitting our mail server.
CWaudio would like to thank you for your patience. Please again allow us until the end of the weekend to bring the new systems online to handle the extra load.
Please do not respond to this email regarding your registration. We are unable to deal with the amount of emails hitting our server at this point.
Our department in the USA has no way of dealing with the server located in Germany.
By Monday April 26, if you still unable to get your 4.0 keys. Kindly forward a very short email with your name and SN of the boards to
webmaster@creamware.de
The webmaster is the only person that can fix problems with website/key codes/registration etc,…

I thought having to register for "My Page" was complicated and annoying enough but no...
Now that we have all done that already it seems this does not satisfy Creamware so they had to think of a way for us to go through more steps, and more clicks and wait for a stupid server that couldn't even handle it. Sheesh!

I know what you are saying about this process being cumbersome. To require everyone to register again is not user-friendly at all.
I don't understand Why we even have to re-register at all? If we already registered for 3.1c, why can't Creamware's system keep our registration - and all we have to do is download the new files and install 4.0? It seems they should even be able to provide the 50% discount based on our previous registration (just let it show up as a credit under our account when we log in the next time).
This way, only people who haven't previously registered would be required to go through the process (which would also lighten the load on their servers that don't seem to be holding up so well with all the demand). Once again, it seems a not well thoughtout and executed strategy by Creamware.

It was said, that many user profiles where not up to date. And they wanted to use this oportunity to bring that back on track.
I agree, that it wasn't executed very well. But that does not mean, that it wasn't well thoughtout.

I just don't think it is very user-friendly to force everyone through it if it isn't absolutely necessary - which doesn't seem to be the case. Now, if the update had some serious changes and fixed ALL of the issues, then I think it would be easier to forgive the re-registration (and huge download - which is my other complaint - why can't they just provide the files that need to be updated in a smaller package instead of including all files many of which are the same as before?)
you know,you don't HAVE to do it. you don't HAVE to do it right away if you do do it and you DON'T have to download it. you COULD get a copy from your dealer in a week or two....
(i'd mail you a copy for the price of postage....)
*edit* and it's not the same as 3.1c. 4.0 acts differenly. there are no major external changes and why would there be? 3.1c works really well in spite of it's flaws. what disappointed me was that i was kinda looking for some new devices(since there have been rumors...
) but there is surely a step forward made. there are still some bugs but all of the applications(from windoze down) that will be used with scope have serious bugs so????.......

something like the 2nd point always enters my mind when I (have to) download some obsure installer to transfer a 50k file to a certain place

But since some of the files probably have to be registered (in software - not license sense) it's too complicated to modify the install process to act more dynamically.
