This is not much of an announcement in the importancy of the community

Check out the readme or manual on the oxe files, put them in /SFP/App/Oxe, start SFP, restart SFP.

my Win98 lost this ability too a couple of month back - probably registry related

workaround on my sys:
I create a link on the surface and enter
C:SFPAppBinPluginInstaller.exe XYZ000Y00_Vectron.oxe
into properties and move the .oxe into the pluginInstaller directory, then doubleclick the link

for another file I just edit the proerties of the link

dunno how it's setup in XP, but I guess you get the idea.
Would be nice if someone knew what's messed up, but for the reasons above I don't think it's version 4 related

cheers, Tom

Easiest way is just to right click on file, select "Open with", Other, "C:ScopeAppBinPluginInstaller.exe" Ammend c:Scope to where ever you have installed Scope.
