This is where a FAQ would be nice. This'll be the classic 'Play MIDI in Background'. For the life of me i can't remember where it is in Cubase (no DAW at the mo), something like Preferences>MIDI Playback - have a look around. Once you've found it tick the blighter (or check it if you're American) and away you go (i hope).

Im not sitting at my own setup at the moment, but as far as i remember you will need to go in Cubase > Devices (menu to the right) > Asio setup (i think) > Asio, and then click (or unclick) "play in background".

That will solve your problem for sure.

Good luck finding it.

Are you sure? I've been looking for it everywhere but I can't seem to find it... I can only find "release ASIO in background", and that I have ticked... but its not that ...
I Think I have to try the cubase forum...

When I want to open a modular 2 module, fx.
C:SFPModular2 ModulesDrumDrum Synth.mdl

- and It doesent matter which one I choose, then I get an error message, something like "an error message from sfp.exe", and sfp has to shut down.
I installed the modular 2 only with copying them to the directory... Is'nt that the right way to do it? Is there perhaps any threads on planet z about this? I couldnt find anyone.... but I do'nt know really what to look for
