Just a quick note to say that I have officially released my OP-8 synthesizer.
I have a demo-version available from my site + a few short MP3s to show the sound quality of the synth. The MP3s are simply me playing a few of the OP-8's presets... I wanted you to hear exactly what comes out of the synth, without burying it under a pile of effects.
I have made over 200 presets that are musical and useful, I hope you will find some inspiration in them... there are some "classics" in there.
Thanks for your continued support and here's to the rebirth of this great platform!

PS: I have also updated the demos of my other synths, fixing a couple small bugs.

On a side note, before having your synths I wasn't using aftertouch that much especially in modular patches.
Now I'am hooked at this too obvious form of modulation !
Beware though because active modwheeling / aftertouching / pitchbending on your synths may bring the neighbours to call either the police or the nearest asylum ...

it is such a natural control for me (the pressure-sensitivity seems to allow for much greater emotional expression) and you can have it routed to various destinations at one time allowing you to really transform a sound quite radically. On 2004-04-05 14:53, decimator wrote:

thanks, i'm working on some more musical audio demos, as the ones i have currently up on the site are pretty basic.
i've been working with the synth in my own music quite a bit since finishing it and the filter's cutoff is pretty addictive (IMHO
)! when i tweak other synths now i keep expecting the filter to continue from the lowpass into the highpass.
