I had this problem a year ago in old computer and now again in the new.On start up a computer message pops up - a commication error has occurred on (board)0 you can fix this by reloading the dsp's... I'am not sure how to this. Do i reinstall again or?

you push the button that sez "o.k.".
this might be caused by dirty contacts.you could try to clean them with 99% pure alchohol(don't touch with fingers...).

If things get serious... and you cannot do it cleaning it as suggested by Garyb, you should try installing the board in a different PCI slot. First you have to unistall your drivers, then you change the PCI slot installation, then you reinstall the drivers and this may solve the problem.

Hello,
garyb is right.
Moreover . . often it will help to put the card in another PCI-slot ( after cleaning the contacts ).
cheers
