I had this problem a year ago in old computer and now again in the new.On start up a computer message pops up - a commication error has occurred on (board)0 you can fix this by reloading the dsp's... I'am not sure how to this. Do i reinstall again or?

you push the button that sez "o.k.".
this might be caused by dirty contacts.you could try to clean them with 99% pure alchohol(don't touch with fingers...).

If things get serious... and you cannot do it cleaning it as suggested by Garyb, you should try installing the board in a different PCI slot. First you have to unistall your drivers, then you change the PCI slot installation, then you reinstall the drivers and this may solve the problem.

Moreover . . often it will help to put the card in another PCI-slot ( after cleaning the contacts ).

Hi Nestor, sorry, i didn't have noticed your posting.
But normally it is not necesarrily to un - and reinstall the hardwaredriver.

Thanks guys, It does sound like dirty contacts as it hasnt happen latley. Ive had alot of tropical rain/heat and moisture is getting into everything..
