Trying to get my SRB w/ Plus in/out to work with Logic on WinXP. I recently added a Lucid ADA8824 A/D converter to my rig, and for whatever reason it will not sync up properly to Logic/SFP via the ADAT optical connection with Logic/SFP set as master clock. Only have 2 ADAT devices going at the moment (SRB Plus and Lucid ADA8824) so shouldn't need to use word clock, but have the Sync Plate so decided to try word clock for sync anyway.

Hooked things up such that the Lucid converter is slaved to Logic/SFP via word clock using the BNC connectors of the Sync Plate. Problem: when I launch Logic, the sync plate driver fails to load and thus there is no synced audio in/out via the SRB, and as you would expect the recording/playback in Logic is chaotic and generally a giant mess.

Prior to getting the Lucid, I used the SRB analog XLR in/out and all the audio drivers etc loaded fine when I launched Logic. What I am not clear on is why the Sync Plate drivers are not loaded automatically as well. Does this mean that the SFP software has to be running in order to use the Sync Plate? If so, how do you use word clock and XTC at the same time?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
