uninstall and reinstall

Due to the communication problem of Sx only sometimes picking up on Sfp soundcard i am now going to uninstall/reinstalled Sx and Sfp. Firstly i have done Sx, still same probs. Now Sfp. My Question is am i going to lose my presets (xtc) even though the projects were saved in Sx ?? Also shall i install Sfp first then Sx ??

Before re-install of SFP, just copy the presets folder to a safe location. The SFP installer will overwrite the standard presets folder. After installation, just overwrite all presets again with your own backed-up version.

Other files you might want to back-up: startproject.pro, newproject.pro, xtcproject.pro, cset.ini, scope.rgy, scopevst.cfg.

Can you elaborate on the problem a bit more?

In some instances some software that you uninstall leaves keys in the registry. Depends on the software, of course, but sometimes an unistall, regedit removal of keys, reboot & install works.
