all synths stopped working ! ??

problems keep showing up...
this time its this strange thing, i wonder if anyone knows anything about it:
i can load everything in a project, mixer, i/o modules, synths....
but although i can activate the midi indicators by sending them notes, they make no sound whatsoever! The audio ("led") indicators on the synths/samplers/drummachines as well as the mixer's don't show any activity, as if the sounds they should be playing are infinitely quiet.
the in-out modules (asio, wave, z-link...) on the other hand still work.
i restarted my pc, but its the same thing now.
will it help to reinstall SFP completely?
i'm really getting tired of this...

what can i do ?

hmm, isn't that the symptoms when there's trouble with the synchronization in SFP? I seem to recall getting the same when I had my Pulsars as slaves to a digital mixer and had a bad SPDIF cable so that the sync never made it to the Pulsar cards.

ok, i had nothing connected to pulsar that needed or sent sync, it was in master mode.
i tried all samplerate settings, ulli settings, and going into slave mode and back.
nothing changed anything.
now reinstalled SFP completely (except for the Pulsar drivers) and it works again.
but how will i know it won't happen again?
