For this Christmas NATIVE INSTRUMENTS has prepared a very special present to all customers.
METAPHYSICAL FUNCTION is a self-playing instrument based on REAKTOR technology which opens up sonic landscapes of intriguing depth and beauty.

The 32 presets of METAPHYSICAL FUNCTION lead into a fascinating world full of crackling micro-grooves, brittle, metallic sound sculptures and organic, wallowing soundscapes.
At the same time, the sound is
translated into complex geometry in a way that is both subtle and spectacular. Prepare to be amazed - METAPHYSICAL FUNCTION is alive!

METAPHYSICAL FUNCTION will be made available as a free download for all registered users on the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS website on December 24th at 6 pm CET. The software is running as a stand-alone application under Mac OS X and Windows XP and demands a computer with at least 800 MHz and 256 MB RAM to unfold its full visual and sonic potential.

Download METAPHYSICAL FUNCTION here:

We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year,

Your Native Instruments Team

There were a few problems with the OSX installer, but once that was fixed - WONDERFUL. Truly beautiful phrases and sounds.

Reliving Pink Floyd as we speak

I´m happy that I have SFP, so I can insert the standalone things anyway. You can loose many hours with just clicking the random button.

This is really nice.
Just a question : can you make standalone effects in Reaktor (for ex, effects that run on wave drivers, while your asio sequencer is running) ? I haven't found a list of all the reaktor modules. Any tips ?
and Happy new year 2004

Well, you can run them in the Reaktor standalone app with Wav drivers (Reaktor won't export .exe programs or anything like that).

But why not run Reaktor as a plugin (FX or instrument) in your sequencer?

peace
