hi.
Sitting here with my brand new G5, and trying to get sound from its built-in optical s/pdif output (Toslink cable) to my Pulsar 2 (in my PC) without any luck.
When i hook the G5 via the same cable to my RME Multiface (also in the PC), i get sound and s/pdif sync. Actually the RME gets sound from the G5 both in master and slave mode.

I've tried many different settings in SFP's samplerate settings (mater/slave and so on), but still no sound.
SFP gets sync from the G5 (the little red light goes on when I choose opt. s/pdif in).
The optical cable goes to the ADAT B in on my Pulsar 2.
I get no sound from the ADAT B source module or the S/pdpif source module.

Is there something obvious I've missed here?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Any help greatly appreciated!

regards,
Tronso

From the SFP manual:

opt ADAT selected:
Each optical I/O operates in ADAT mode
(standard)

opt S/PDIF selected:
The ADAT A optical port switches to S/
PDIF mode. The S/PDIF output signal
is transmitted over both the optical and
the coaxial outputs. The optical input
receives S/PDIF signals, and the coaxial
S/PDIF input is disabled.

Use the normal S/PDIF source and dest
modules in the routing window.

The important hint is "ADAT A" port...
