hmm, almost sounds tribal. Sounds of mother nature kind of feel. So, ya, maybe it doesn't suite an oil pump ad. (dunno what their image was tho) After it starts looping tho, it kind of looses direction. You could go into a different movement from there. Maybe a break and then some wild stuff in a different key, if you want to go loud. Or maybe a break and then some thick pads with no percussion if you want to go the mellow direction. The tune's got a nice subtle feel to it tho, so maybe it's better if you mellowed out.

I was really into the intro section then you lost me.
I'll be honest and say that the random snare hits and cymbols annoyed me in the main loop section.

The 3 note sax riff tied everything in but it just got boring. I'm the king of repetition, so I know

So.... what would I do? Well, probably keep the intro, filter the scratchy highs off the drum loop section and vary the sax riff or exchange/interchange it for a piano or another mellow sound source, maybe?...

The reason I say that about the EQ is because you have this mellow thing going with the fretless bass and the sax, but the harsh sound of the drum loop just doesn't seem to sit in the mix.

Maybe it's intentional experimentation, but it doesn't work for me. Some of the phrasing was interesting towards the end tho - with the lagging note on the bass - I'd keep that sensibility and possibly ditch the drum loop and either mangle another one or just program something else to fit with the chaos.

It's all just personal taste, but I couldn't get into it. Not really that helpful, sorry.

The sax and bass work well together but the drum track spoilt it for me. A more laid back track with a lead sax break and perhaps a key change would be beneficial (to my ears).
There's plenty in this to build on, but for my taste I couldn't settle into the mood because of the drum track.
