Stuttering................Sound Forge
I..I...I...s.s.s.s.eem t.t.to
I solved the problem with stuttering in Acid, and I'm now running my Asio Scope driver......seems to be a project issue, although restarting SFP after problems seems necessary.
Now I can't get rid of it in Sound
Forge.....anything over 16bit..44.1k and I've got a helicopter in my computer. I did get rid of it briefly last night but I was so tired I didn't save what I'd done....dopey me...can't work it out today at all.
It only happens when audio is playing back, not a problem in silence between passages. I just don't understand ...I need a pointer in the right direction. I've reinstalled XP, Acid, Sound Forge...reinstalled SFP over the top. It happens with even one track of simple monophonic synth piano sound. So I think it's a project issue.........any pointers?
System: P4 2.6 1gig of ram Intel 865Mobo so has heaps of grunt.....

Oh Sh.t....I saw that on your post (install order)...I thought that was an optional....No, Gary, I haven't. My answer seems dumber than your question....Is it an obligatory, not optional..?
I got Sound Forge working fairly quickly, initially, without it..so I didn't look further.
Edit: went to Intel site and found bios updates also,..so I'd better get those as well......thanks Gary.
