Hello All,

I am sure there must be something easy that I am not doing right. But I am trying to record Audio in Logic or Cubase and the mixers within those programs do not show a signal going in (LED meters not responding). I am also trying to record the output from my Midi parts and software synths(in essence the same thing). Now everything works within the Pulsar environment. There is a signal going in and it shows up in the LED meters.

My Pulsar environment consists basically of the following:

ASIO 2 Source (16 channels)>into mixer
ASIO 2 Dest > from RTs or bus outs
ADAT Source > into mixer STM 2448
ADAT Dest > From AUX or Bus
Analog source into mixer

That is basically it. i am sure there is a basic solution that I am not aware of. Please help. I should add though that when I use The Big mixer from Pulsar version 2 and use my old set-up it works. So I must have connected something incorrectly.

Thanks in advance for your response(s)

would you put up a screenshot at the "projects" section?
makes it easier to pinpoint the problem.

In your mixer environment in Logic, are you choosing the correct inputs on the Audio Track you want to record in?
Are we listening?..

doesn´t have to be the environment, the inputs are selectable in the mixer as well. (ctrl+m)

Hi,

Yes Paul, I am using the correct inputs in Logic because I am able to record when I use the big mixer from version 2 of Pulsar. But when I use the STM 2448 then I can't.

How have you connected your ASIO dest, from where?

Hmm, I can´t figure out how you´ve setup your SFP project but maybe you want to try these default SFP and Cubase vst5/32 default projects and compare it with yours?

I can only speak for Cubase, be sure that you switch the cohesive IN button on when you want to record a signal in cubase.
These buttons are located on the top of the cubase mixer, these buttons must turn white when they are switched on.
In this SFP project all SFP or extern synths or ADAT´s must be connected directly to the ASIO dest module.
I hope it helps you.

Weirdo, check my response in http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... forum=14&1
Yes, the problem is you've connected the Aux Returns to the ASIO input. If you want to use direct outs (which is what it looks like you're trying to do) then on the Main mixer window go to Option (bottom left) and highlight the Direct Outs button. Now you're mixer will have a load of direct outs. Or you could use the Bus Outs which are always there (on the right).
