i want to mix via the creamware mixer but not sure if its possible to completly bypass the cubase mixer. i have bussed out of cubase into the CW mixer (witch is all cool) BUT if the sound is distorting in cubase then reflects in CW if u know what i mean??
there must be a way to completly bypass cubase???
thanx in advance
Bypas cubase mixer? pure SFP mixing?
If you want to bypass Cubase entirely it would mean to switch to another application, possibly to VDAT. You can not bypass the mixers; if you distort something in cubase then the signal reaching SFP will also be distorted. Simply; do not distort your signals in cubase. But keep the cubase mixer-faders at 0.0db to make it more transparent. Output into SFP through ASIO.

You can easily automate the SFP mixer faders, too. Just assign a controller to the sfp mixer fader and control it from Cubase. Remember to connect the SFP mixer to midi sequencer midi source! On 2003-09-10 09:38, Richmo wrote:
I try not to use the cubase mixer but the automation can be very handy.

In your setup you can completly get rid of cubase's audio part (but I'm sure you want to usae your VSTis?). But you can't get rid of cubase's midi features (sequencer part)because you need them, don't you?there must be a way to completly bypass cubase???
