What type of samples are you trying to load (Akai, WAV)?
Where are you trying to load the samples from - hard disk or CD?

Oioi,

did you try to load the wav-files into the old sample players? That cannot work. The old sample players can only read AKAI-1000-files.
And if you use one of the STS-players, you have to build a sample program using wav-files, but never take a wav-file as the whole program! Choose "New program" clicking the right bottom, open the keygroup-editor, choose once more "New", then you can drag and drop a wav-file to the bottom of the keygroup-editor.
RTFM! Thomas

Apologies for not getting back sooner, but the question has been answered.
Sample Players cannot load wav files.
However, there is a thread somewhere for software that converts wav files to small STS samples (you can convert whole folders in one go too).
It's not a brilliant solution but it is a sort of solution.
