Here's the first paragraph from that page, that made me laugh :
"Some liberal Christians may throw out the parts of the Bible that they don't like, but Christians who believe in the Bible as the word of God do believe that blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the single unforgivable sin."
This is just bullshit. Just SAYING something doesn't make it true. The loudmouthed fundamentalists in America do not define religious belief for all people, for all time, even if they say they do. So now we have a bunch of religious assholes going around the states saying, if you don't follow our particular church teachings you will burn in hell. And a bunch of atheist assholes going around saying if you don't follow the christian fundamentalist church (which one? southern baptist? pentacostal?) you're not a christian, or, if you're not an atheist you MUST be one of those fundamentalist christians.
Extremists. Gotta love them. All cultures have supremacists and prejudice, and no matter how different those cultures may be, their extremists are all the same. Honestly, the only people I have ever heard such ignorant, bigoted, and narrowminded opinions as what is on this thread, are the religious fundies.
"He couldn't have been a cowardly thinker since practitioners don't think, they practice."
This is bigotry. This is no more amusing to read than that jews are not capable of anything but greed and evil business ethics, that blacks are not capable of anything but violence and selling crack, etc
And I asked you this before Braincell, but you wouldn't answer.
What is the point of poetry?

what a way to bury arguments that can't be answered than to heap a pile of bs upon them....
who signs these guys paychecks?
would you like another quote from albert pike? albert says that Satanism isn't the worship of the devil, rather it's a complete negation of the existance of god("the devil" is part of the creation. worshipping "the devil" is like worshipping a nature spirit. it doesn't deny a "master creator"). therefore, according to albert pike in his legendary screed "Morals and Dogma", atheism is the ultimate expression of Satanism.
remember, Albert is one of
the authorities on the subject. he is the founder of the scottish rite of freemasonry, which the royal family of england is a member and all world leaders are associated with.
oh, and before anyone tries to skewer
me for his statements, Albert Pike said that, i'm just repeating what i read. you can look it up yourself.

No the loudmouths don't define it, the holy bible on which all of christianity is based does define it very clearly for all to read:
Mark 3:29:
"whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

You and the website author are unaware of the wide range of interpretations that passage has.
You realize that is a TRANSLATION from another language, and there are a lot of religions that do not subscribe to literal interpretation of the King James Version - and would be quite surprised to find out they weren't Christian.

I would call it extremist atheism, not fundamentalist atheism. The extremist sects of [christianity, islam, judaism, hindu] generally call themselves 'fundamentalist' because they justify their extremeness (rigidity, cruelty, and draconian laws) by claiming they are getting back to the 'fundamentals' of their religion which have been cast aside by permissive society. Atheism is simpler - no belief in any god - so doesn't really have a 'fundamental' that it must get back to. Atheist extremists tend to justify their extremeness by their (self-evident) benevolence and wisdom.

well, the first atheist extremist who flies into the White House still has to be born probably

anyway, it's quiet, still page 47.
I really like the debate (in general I mean), even if it's purely rhetorical, but this is getting nowhere, it's just
going.
Of Bingo I know (sorry mate, nothing personal) he's not a logical debater, as he misses or wants to miss the point.
Braincell is smart enough to know he's not really debating...reason: he's to much focussed on the result.
Not the best premissions for a nice debate.
Crimes are crimes against any of the ten christian commandments, which I subscribe, yet I think I'm rather atheistic.
Are crimes produced by religion, or is religion used to justify crimes, etc.
These questions are interesting to research, one cant deny the millons of deaths commited by atheist regimes to recall
something.
Anyway again, page 47 up to now, remember, page 49 should be quote-free!
edit;
two possible answers are not alowed;
- saying I don't
have to read this thread if I don't like it - as i said I like even the rhethorical debate
- saying don't disturb the flow, as there is no flow

It's doubtful whether there will EVER be an true atheist extremist that acts like a kamikaze. The kamikaze-extremist will sacrifice him/herself because they believe upon dying they will be transported to a place that looks like earth, but the most annoying physical laws and limitations won't apply (paradise, as generally conceived). Why would an atheist sacrifice his life for a goal that will be completed in a future that they won't be part of? (If they did it likely proves they weren't *really* atheist - the action of sacrificing yourself for a good cause puts morals and motivations under a uniquely clear light).
I hear lots of comments that 'atheists killed more', 'religion killed more' but haven't seen really good figures on it. I'm pretty sure they both killed lots, at this point, and even if one side has killed more, the other still is not clean.
Since you subscribe to the ten commandments but are rather atheistic, you probably see how it is very possible, even prudent, to retain some elements from any religion without being a devout follower. Been some interesting points raised on this thread, outside of those multi-color, large font, multi-page, screaming quote posts.
I like your rules about page 49, but I'm not sure, since this is bingo's thread, he gets to make the rules (and possibly the laws of thermodynamics, and what the primary colors are, whether you can divide by zero, etc).

the biggest problem in this thread is that it doesn't escalate enough, you're too soft guys
you could agree to stop at the very moment someone reaches page 50.
to avoid unfair tricks, quoting then is not allowed anymore from page 49 on.

While quoting is still allowed, I somehow mannaged to see a kind of zen in these. Anyway,
this made my day, so i feel free to share...

Interesting essay by deist Dr. Hal Bidlack, Ph.D. at:
http://www.skepticality.com/index.php
Doctor Bidlock thinks God created the big bang but that is all he ever did. He seems upset at "radical atheists". Poor confused man...

You need it the hard way.....ok.
It is your choice.
My recomendation still is:
Try some real world experience, meet ant talk to real human beings and go beyond your coward spamming of the off topic section of a music gear forum.
I am doing exactly that at this moment.
I am talking to people that lost everything, even their sanity.
Do I need to look for something specific?

No.
I am sure you look already differently to this thread after half a year now.
And i wish you the best in real life.
Of course I am looking differently at this thread and I bet you want to know how or what has changed. And since I want to be a nice guy I will let you know without you having to resort to reverse psychology to extort that information.
In a very vulnerable situation, about a month ago, I was asked by a catholic priest what gives me hope. Obviously, a religious person would have responded: god. What do you think I replied?

Thank you brother, brothers and sisters, this means very much to me.
I am fine and yes a little bitter but not because I don't have a home but because I've met a beautiful girl and then lost her in a matter of weeks.
