Anyone, who has a passion about something that enhances their life, will normally want to share it. Perhaps a couple of examples:

1. My father loves his golf. He wanted me to take it up, such was his love of it. I declined as life was too busy anyway to commit myself to it.

2. If someone asked you if they should purchase a Soundblaster card or a full Scope system, Flexor et al, I am sure that, becuse of the pleasure you have had from it, you would want to onvince this person that a Scope card was the way to go.

3. My neighbours son loves Drum & Bass and he is always trying to say that it is the best. He points out to me many of the finer points from the genre.

Now, I don't agree that Christianity is the only "religion" or faith that has a doctrine of converting everyone - I will disregard the word "brainwash" from your quote.
I would suggest that every faith or religion and every one who has a true faith, would want to share, and I emphasise the word "share" that belief with others.
Think about it - if every one who has a faith believes that they are correct, then their remit, or their own desire would be to share that hope with their friends and colleagues. That is not to say that it is correct to force it down someone's throat. I disagree with that completely, but in the same way that I would tell someone how great a Scope setup is, I would want to lovingly do the same re my faith.

If people do not want to listen, or do not even want to ask me about my faith, then that is their choice.

I'm sure that you'll agree that is a polite and logical response, with other examples.

I think what is getting everyones back up here (bearing in mind that I think I'm the only Christian here as far as I know), is that you are trying to force your opinions, views and beliefs down our throats in the way you hate it done to you.

As a hint to you: Big Bang theory describes not the creation of the universe but the expansion of it.

As I said before you have to learn a lot: cosmology, modesty, logic, manners.

That is true, (and forgive me for being brief I didn't know you'd be interested to learn anything about the Universe in addition to what you learned in the church) however in the initial state, superdense ball of particles, there was no resemblance of the Universe as we know it today, and what is being refered to in the bible.
