Here is a quick example of Polygome and boing.
Polygome>Microwave
Boing>eds16i
I am well mistaken on some keys but whatever.

edit forgot to add that i was using monoswitch to toggle between boing and polygome.

It's a fine demo.
It is clearly recorded, and definatly nice to hear the Microwave again.
I hate to sound so greedy, but since Monome is such a hands on type of controller, a video of you using it would be awesome. I am sure you'll need time to get through a whole new way of composing, enginnering and mixing. But once you're comfortable......Hook a Brotha' Up. :)

There's an application that looks like it was meant to trigger sampled loops or one shot samples with the assigned pitches or tempos.
I would love to use that.
Years ago I had a 360 Systems MIDI Bass pedal, and the same company released a Monome looking device for Foley artists that had 64 sample buttons but cost around 4 large !!!
Patience is a virtue as I will buy a 64 and use it for that.
Even if I have to grind my way through learning something completely new, the results are endless, as many smart guys are releasing new ways to use this every week....I love open ened apps like this...

Thanks Again Brotha' Man Flux.

There is another kit purchase coming up in March. i believe i will get 2 more and make a full time 128 and keep one of the 40h for other apps, and sell the second one.
(that is if i manage to get the kits before they sell out)

you should try and get a kit. im sure you can do the bit of soldering, or know someone who can.
you just have to source the LEDS (cheap on ebay, and you can chose your color) and get a face panel made, which is about $60
theres a US machine shop which did mine for around that, and i can give you his email.

its a lot cheaper to buy a kit, even if you boy a kit and send it to me to build.
its just that they only let you have 2 and i want both of them

I shall keep in touch with you on this matter and have no problems paying a premium for your services.
I will not pretend to even understand how to build electronics, and do not wish to learn. I know this is a stubborn attitude, but it allows me to concentrate on what I do best, and leave the chores to a trained professional such as yourself....

As Clint Eastwood said in Dirty Harry.....A Mans Gotta Know His Limitations....ankyu.

Monome Guys.............

I am going to make a purchase from a local guy who bought a Monome 64 and seems to need some money.
Is there an application where I can use it as a metronome / BPM counter where the blinking LED's are actually subdivisions of the Beat?

For example,.....8 x 8 is the configuration, but having all 8 rows going from left to right would be easily viewable from meters away, and for all members.
Especially on Orchestral pieces where tempo changes occur frequently, it's senseless to use audio clicks on tempo changes..that's extremely distracting to a percussionist hearing audio subdivided clicks speeding up and slowing down...Having all blue with a red color on the last LED.

Monome would actually be using a visual method of subdivision that is far more accurate then some annoying audio click. Each beat would have 8 subdivions viewed visually....... :o
This would be a big seller for Orchestral players following muted audio tracks on mock ups, and definately be fun for my needs.

Does such an application exist?

Heya. I think that does not exist at the moment but.... :D you could ask on the monome dot org forum for such an app.I bet one of the max gurus would make one if you ask nice and show the value and a lot of interest in it.
Its one of the things i really like on that device..open source and tonns of developers.Just ask! :)

Edit ..now that i think of it a bit further...the molar app....if you select all rows and just play empty waves it will scroll in tempo from l to r after starting the song.
