No, the company Caig make all sorts of products for consumer, commercial & industrial applications. Deoxit in it's various forms is just one of many product lines they do. There products are renowned for being excellent, but they're not daft. Depending on what type of thing you're after, some of their products are really pretty expensive. For example, the Deoxit Gold pen which is probably their most ideal product for cleaning ISA, PCI or AGP card contacts costs $23 which isn't exactly cheap considering that it only holds 6ml of contact cleaner.

i usually use the D5 spray. D5 is the stuff that fixes most problems. it's about $10 for a 5oz(200ml) spray can here....

dusting the card is a nice thing to do(beware of static electricity! air would be better than a feather duster!), but it's the contacts that must be free of contaminants.

Gary, how do get that D5 spray to only go onto the contacts instead of the areas around them as well? Seems like even with one of those little straw attachments such a spray would be going all over the place.

OK. Message understood. I have plenty of hot air available.

I stress I have the much sought after "vintage" cards.:P

It's not like they're covered in gunge. Just a barely visible layer of the very finest, top of the range, high quality dust. Of course!!

He wants to get into Politics.

Leanord Nimoy has even had a recent career change and can be found here in Las Vegas at a Club called the Transporter Room.
He swares by Ableton Live 6.1, but my DJ bud is trying to get him going w/ a Kyma Workstation in a 4U design.

OMG that is way Cool.......... :D
I am still a child I guess. But laughter is my favorite thing to do. I have seen every comedian in Vegas and still watch the old versions of cartoons and the 3 Stooges.
Whatever makes me laugh, I like.
Spock is " Choice " for such adolescant antics, as he was always so dead logical and serious.
I always loved his remarks...
One of my faVorites was when Kirk, Spock, and McCoy re united and hadn't seen each other for years. McCoy was so happy to see Spock and remarked " You haven't changed a bit you green blooded Vulcan...". Spocks great line was " Nor have you Doctor, as your predilection for irrelevancy demonstrates. "......... :D
Great Stuff....Nice Behringer Decal too.

actually, i use another spray to do the thorough cleaning. it's an isohexane or some such. it evaporates very quickly and leaves no trace behind, but it gets rid of things like fingerprint grease. the deoxit goes on after. if i'm feeling neat, i spray some on a swab. the can has an adjustable nozzle and it's pretty controllable. for potentiometers or when i'm feeling sloppy, i just spray the stuff and let it get a little crazy. it doesn't hurt anything and actually, the spray is very controllable on low. my can lasts months, unless i have to clean an entire 32x16 console...

nice Spock pictures Jim. you are, and always have been his friend.
