Yes, that's right Ken, cos dbmac needs the space back as I understand.

No time limit. I'll keep the space open as long as you need. At least another month, eh Nestor?

I just uploaded my stuff to dbmac's server. I wasn't quite sure about what the final format of filename was, so I just went with "instrumentname_myname_sfp or xtc.wav" format. Hope it's fine. I also uplaoded in 32bit type1 (24bit float). Hope that's fine as well. Please tell me if there's a specific type of 32bit you want to use as a standard.
here's what it sounds like when it's all mixed:

You'll hear that the brass line has reverb. Well, I kind of got carried away but was too lazy to go back and fix it. Hope that's okay. It's got delay AND reverb. But it looops fine.
YIkes! I just remembered that we were supposed to zip the files and also put in a text file with description. Oh well, I'll go back and do that now.

Guys,
Saw your posts, and will download your files tomorrow! Ken, your MP3 is so different from mine, I'm really curious how people combine these things!
My files were all recorded 16-bit, and wavezipped. (Wavezip did an impressive job, reducing the total file-set size from about 10mb to about 3mb, if I remember correctly).
I saw you guys said your files are 24-bit. My AD's are only 16-bit so I didn't see much point in recording them as 24-bit. Will we run into any issues mixing 16-bit and 24-bit files?

Wow... the time of exceptions comes up now...

I don't see a problem Ken, if you did it with some reverb, and John, I don't thing it is a problema that you didn't make the files at 16bits. I understand SX is able, as most modern sequencers, to mix files of different bit depths. I myself, decided not to do it with wavezip, cos we are very few and so, there is no real need, but if you want, I can come back doing it through wavezip.
BTW: nice little tune Ken, I think what you did and what I've done will match easily toguether... what you have done John, will be perfect for a middle passage I think.

Nestor, you might want to do a reminder cuz it's been a while since the rules were posted. It might be easier for people to join if the final rules where posted as a new thread in the announcements. Also, I think the rule can be simplified to "5 basic loops (plus extra if you want) in Dmin key, zipped into 1 zip. You can use any chords, as long as they're in Dmin."
Let's see some action!

Those rules are quite nicely compressed.

Hi Guys,
I just downloaded your files. Nestor's sound fine- and there's a LOT to choose from there
Ken, I wasn't able to listen to your audio. In both SX and in Wavelab, they sound crazy distorted. Wavelab's file information reports that the files are 24 bit, 44.1k. Does NOT mention "32-bit float" or anything.
Am I doing something stupid here, like not realizing that the files are compressed or something?

Nestor, your files fit perfectly with mine - I just dropped them all together and muted a few tracks, and it sounds beautiful

Yeah, there's definitely a problem with Kensuguro's wav files - big distortion, not at all like the mp3 demo. Better load up a new batch.

Can I use the STS and samples made outside the SFP?

I see you are a man of hope! Why not? Lets see if there are a few other participants out there...

ok.. it may be with the file format. There's a dozen formats to choose from in cool edit... but just to save the trouble, I'll upload the 16bit version.

Ken, I checked and your files open fine with CoolEdit (Audition), but not Wavelab. Some bit depth confusion in the file headers? The files analyze as 16 bit in Cool, but Wavelab reads them as 24 bit.
