Using Modular with real analog equipment

I'm no technician, so don't shoot me down in flames here

I've been offered a cheap Korg MS20, and I'm wondering if I can use my PulsarII and Modular as Midi>CV unit. I've heard of people controlling CV gear this way, and I'm just wondering what the limitations/dangers might be.

i have a korg ms20 at home (not mine...)
i once used a simple sine wave, coming out from the modular, routed to the external input of the ms20. once i tweaked the cv setting of the externl inpuit i could use my midi keyboard to control the ms20, but with some uncertainty in the final result....
