Just reinstalled v3 on Win2k, this time without the XTC functionality. It kept saying
"XTC plug not installed correctly" on startup, and crashed really badly so I couldn't go back to my cubase file.
Scary
Anyway, I still can't get the audio working (which was why I reinstalled in the first place - otherwise I really enjoyed having the virtual instruments and effects)
As soon as I hit the stop button after recording, Cubase tells me that a very serious problem has occured. The audio comes in on the track, but I can't work with the file any more until I restart Cubase. MIDI out is all green, sending...
Anyone share that problem ?
I didn't have it with 2.04. It performed very well on Win2k, Asus P3-BF,550 MHZ P3,256 RAM
And another question:
Where's the f?$£@#¤ manual ?
I reinstalled in german, hoping to get it..
Cheers

V3 grief
you could also have opened Pulsar, and turned off the option "Enable XTC mode" int he pulsar settings... then start cubase again. You'd have been able to open your cubase filesJust reinstalled v3 on Win2k, this time without the XTC functionality. It kept saying

you have the latest version of Cubase?
Regarding the manual, go to creamware download the languages you want and extract the zip files here:
C:Pulsar3ManualEnglish
or
C:Pulsar3ManualGerman
etc..
I hope this helps,
good luck

I'm running v3 and cubase on winXP and I got the same error message, but I cleared the error and it continued to load ok. FYI the error is due to lightwave.dll in the vstplugins/xtc folder, just delete the file and the error will disappear. This is supposed to be only available for the pro pack, but for some reason it gets installed in the xtc install. Hope this helps.
