Is it possible to purge memory after installing devices in Scope plus deleting programs in STS?
When I added reverb it said there was no physical memory left.Is that RAM?
How does Scope deal with memory when adding devices and programs?
Thanks
Purging Memory
it is generally not possible (or advisable) to manually deal with memory allocation.
The app in question has do do it RIGHT - if there's one error, you can bet a 2nd, 3rd ... will follow.
I get similiar messages with old office apps with 1 Gig installed '... not enough memory to load, blah' - under NT4 or Win98 (?).
You probably don't run that antic stuff, so it could be the sampler stupidly exhausted all RAM, leaving no scratch area for the reverb (needed because there's not enough on the DSP chips themselves).
Sometimes one can circumvent this by modifying the loading sequence.
cheers, Tom
