ok , this I think has gone enough as far as I'm concerned.
I have throughly tested the pulsarmixer (from the "pro" pack), and I can easily say pro isnt the exact word for a mixer that has PHASE PROBLEMS!?!?!?.
How the hell are we supposed to use this if channel 13 cannot phase allign with channel 1 ??????? how the hell did they have the nerve to put out this mixer without checking phase cancellation? I did a test in 5 minutes that immediately showed severe phase problem.
Forcing the use of Board1 on channel 1-12 and 13-24 doesnt help.
Stereo pairs along the board at some point also give a phase error.
I dont understand how the hell QA doesnt do this simple phase check that I did in less than 5 minutes!!!
CW, stop calling these devices "PRO" before you do the simplest thing of checking simple phase problems.
sorry, but I am dissapointed. to say the least.
Pulsarmixer - a "PRO" mixer with phase problems. :-)
how did you test this?
i´d like to know if this is also relevant for the new dynamicmixer of pulsar.
i had also planned to buy the propack just because of the 24/48 mixer, but i found that i have enough with the new dynamic mixer...

this is the biggest bullshit on the forum...
First of all the pulsarmixer is a verry good digital mixer and is absolute phase allign.
Do u think that a analog mixer has no minor phase errors ???? or what to say about the hahaha O2r ???
Okay : Final test For checking phase !!!!
1- Take the controlroom device
Start up the testsignal generator put it on 440 Hz
the output of the testsignal to the micromixer input channel 1.
Now u take the left right channels of the micromixer to the pulsarmixer ...
left goes to channel 1 and right goes to channel 13 !
put the controlroom of the pulsarmixer to your analog outputs.
now u hear a testtone on channel 1 and channel 2.
now press the phase reverse switch on channel 1 ......
Oeps the sound is gone , but were is it ???
okay now pull down the fader on channel one
See the sounds comes back !!!
now fade up to 0 db and the sound will go away again..
Okay what happens ...
u have two same signals if u put one of them in phase reverse u have a cancelation of the signal..
theory : 1 + 1 = 2 means u are summing.
but if the other is in phase reverse u cancel out the other so u have 1 - 1 = 0
This trick is only possible if the channel is absolute phase error free other wise u wont have a absolute cancelation...
So don't say i have test it , but tell how u have test this device..
Beacause this is the way i test the neve consoles and the ssl at my clients !
So guys u better buy the pulsarmixer its fab

Can't live without this mixer, LOVE IT!
BTW, RonaldJ, i just did the test you describe, and there is ABSOLUTELY NO phase error here!!! TOTALY in phase.
It is just like you said. When i invert the phase, i ear nothing, if i lower one of the fader, the sound if coming out gradualy again.
So for people to have absolutely no doubt, there is NO phase error in the PulsarMixer, the phases are totaly align. Period.
FYI, I tested on channels 1-6 + 13-18 in PulsarMixer, also the microMixer and the Dynamic mixer, all behave well.

It could also be that for some people, the audio itself reaches different channels with delays.. hence the phase cancellation. I'm just thinking theoretically but if there is any amount of delay in the signal, anywhere from 0 to pi radian(100% out of phase) then the end result would be a phase cancellation.. even though the cause is a miniscule delay. Perhaps a glitch with ASIO drivers?
But as far as my mixes are concerned, I don't see too much of a problem.. or even if there was, I don't find any obvious problems that make it un-workable. It's better to have a composition with phase problems than no composition without phase problems! So do your mixes with what works for you! If Pulsar mixer doesn't, too bad, it was an unlucky case... just go and find something that you CAN work with.

hehe , finaly some reason !
U see why some people make me crazy , the are talking about somthink the dont understand.
B.t.w a slight delay in a asiodriver could be the problem but , NOT HERE HAHAHAHA
Maby the guy wotks on a pI 200 ?????????
I dont know , those guys should stop complaining and start working and make some serious music...
But i think that some guys start to complain so the think ... that maby we get the idea that the are pro engineers because the are looking for bugs.
U know what make's u a pro engineer !!!
To make a fab production even when there are bugs !
i rest my case !
