hi i'm working on OS9.2 with OMS 2.3.8 and SFP3.1 on my G4 dual. My sequencer is Logic Pro 6. I am experiencing funny things with my audio instruments on my logic. Some keys dose not recive note off signals. for example, sometimes C1#has longer sustain than others. I do play kyborads without looping and editing laterand this problem happens so often that it is very distructive for me. I don't use my pulsar II synth, so I don't know if it is OMS related or just Logic's Audio Inst. related. The key which has longer sustain or sustain that never stops is varied, means.. it can be C1# or It can be F1#.. depending on the mood of my comp:(
Has anyone experienced similer problems?
OMS problem?
I use Cubase, so about Logic I can't say anything usefull.
I don't think it's OMS causing the trouble, OMS works or it doesn't for some reason, it never influenced the midi stream in my past.
It could be that you use a keyboard which has 'active sensing', you can filter this out by using a midi filtering module in your Pulsar setup window.
Did you check your midi notes sequence, no overlaps or near overlaps?
I would make a very minimal setup with Logic, without Pulsar platform, to test the midi behaviour, exclude all audio, don't use excessively reverb and delay fx.
Use very open midi sequences, and see if the sustained notes do occur.
If it just happens within Logic, our Logic using (pc?) friends may help you further
If you find it's Scope or mac (performance) related, we may have a deeper look into it, though I'm not a great problem solver

hi hubird
I enjoy ur posts on planet Z.
I reinstall OMS today.. i haven't check with minimal setting yet. problem seems to be gone away, yet it will need more testing. the problem have never been presented till recently. it did freak me out because I have been using pulsar for long time and never experience such a problem. OMS is pain in ass. Can't wait for OSX SFP.
