I did it in standard pc mode (much thanks and inspiration to the gary b's, paulrmartin's, valis's, scofield kid's, ricardo's, samplaire's, oldaudio's, symbiote's, and antar's of PLANETZDOTCOM)..

So... here are my IRQ's ---> clearly they are bad . at this point is my goal literally just to move cards on the PCI slots? ... (and trust me, I will re-do all of the XP and BIOS tweaks that were supplied to me here :):))

IRQ 0 System timer OK
IRQ 1 PC/AT PS/2 Keyboard (84-Key) OK
IRQ 3 Ethernet Controller OK
IRQ 4 Adaptec AHA-2940UW PCI SCSI Controller OK
IRQ 5 Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller OK
IRQ 6 Standard floppy disk controller OK
IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK
IRQ 10 Video Controller (VGA Compatible) OK
IRQ 10 Creamware DSP-Board OK
IRQ 10 Intel(R) 537EP Modem OK
IRQ 11 SM Bus Controller OK
IRQ 11 Multimedia Audio Controller OK
IRQ 12 Microsoft PS/2 Mouse OK
IRQ 13 Numeric data processor OK
IRQ 15 Secondary IDE Channel OK

Once again, thanks to all

ps - paulrmartin: bruce cockburn's picking hand thumb is up there at least in the ballpark of Chet Atkin's, Lenny Breau's, and Leo Kottke's, in my estimation at least

yes, you can just move cards. are all those connects(ethernet, modem and scsi) really nessessary om that computer? losing one or two will aid in freeing up irqs. losing the scsi card will free up pci resources(i used a scsi card for a while, so i'm not saying it won't be fine).

you're getting close. you shouldn't need to reinstall just because of card swapping.
