I have been asked to set up an internet forum for the musiktherapist fraction of our union. Saturday I will present it at our anual meeting. But I wonder, how we can get this thing going? A lot of the members are not that interested in such high tech stuff - not enough to find it worth their time to visit it very much (my preconception ofcoarse).
I am going to use over head screenshots of the forum, because that is the tools, which will be awailable. I will avoid the temptation to make something big, because I think it must be very easy to the untrained eye. So it will be a simple Snitz setup with no add-ons to begin with. Presenting the technical part will be no problem. But how do I make these people understand how usefull this can be? We are just ~120 members all over the country, so this can be an alternative way to comunicate with collegues in the same field of the work - but geografically far away.
How do I present the wonder of the net to people less intere

I would use an open connection to the Internet and ask them if there is a subject they are interested in. And then I would pull Google or the forum out of my magic hat, swing the magic wand, type in a query and bham! out come the results.
