every time I strart up my system the DSP Meter has only 1 dsp load in sart up projekt and in my "Samplerate Settings" the red light keeps flashing also the system display with the KHz is flashing.

then after a while after fidlling iwth stm-cable adat-cable it jumps to the normal 4 dsp load (my startup is heavy on dsp)

a couple of things to check/try:
what is the clock master? the card or adat?
try a different adat cable. use compressed air to clean the port. clean the stdm connections with 99% or purer alchohol. make sure that the cards are well seated.

all you three are (probably) in locations close to the sea and /or big cities.
I've always suspected aggressive air as a cause for the bad STDM connections.

Well, recently I examined one of those connectors with a magnifier - honestly, it's just a piece of crap.
It's (of course) not goldplated, there's just a small connection point (circle hits line), practically even reduced by the 'rough' surface of the connector metal itself.

Add the fact that there's a lot of micro-movement by heating and resonance of the circuit board - and it's no wonder these things fail.
Could the grease applied to battery poles (in the car) possily provide some protection ?

cheers, Tom

A similar problem was discussed some time ago and it looks like CW cards are very keen on alcohol...

AFAIR, somebody had a problem with SPDif connectors which was solved with alco.

I've been cleaning many times,

I don't think that is the problem, because then you get error message ".......check stdm-cable" that I've also had, and that problem is solved indeed with alcohol

but thanks for replys anyway

>garyb I think you are right in checking adat
but I've 6X2adat-cable in my systems and not so many spare.
the system with problem is master, the other system and 01v are slave
