sorry, I don't understand the quote. As I understood it the first two inputs (L and R) were analog in, the second two inputs (L and R) were digital in and the final two were a bus of what was being played through the card to enable audio mixdown onto a single stereo track
the quote refers to some ASIO conventions (or rules ?) when used together with a VST host.
Obviously they are not arbitrarily accessible - and you just might 'start' at the wrong position.
I don't have a VST host, but I remember something with numbering and offsets, faintly...

not on my computer. that stuff is all user assignable....
it is user assignable, but my XTCproject.pro is configured to have analog Left and analog right on the first two channels... don't know where analog right is though, won't record a thing
if the xtcproject is set right and the proper input is selected in cubase, then it HAS to work, period, assuming that there is something connected to the input with a good cable.
