Vocoder modules Vocodizer
I´m sure vorb is a superb vocoder. But what I wanted to know was if I would rather upgrade from ModII to ModIII than getting the vocodizer. Since I updated to SFP4 I con get one of them plugs for half price. And I read that there are new vocoder devices within ModIII. Is there a good ModIII vocoder patch out there?
Besides: Orbitone.org is offline?

You'll find a vocoder patch in the Modular Patches forum right now.
Incidentally, the Orbitone site relocated to here (I believe they lost the old domain after forgetting to re-register it):

BTW Rogurt, you do know you can get more than one half-price device
(that's how i got Vocodizer). Read all about it here, i think it still works.

I have checked the sound example of the vocoder patch above. Well interesting sound but I wanted a good (or better "classic") sounding vocoder like vocodizer (or some vorb examples). I could just imagine that there was a human voice synthesized. Has anyone heard other soundexamples of this patch. Or any other patch sounding more like "classic"?
Sorry if I ask the same questions over and over. But I haven´t heard any statement if it would be possible to built a "vocodizer" patch within mod3. It is also possible to build the UKNOW in Modular because the standalones are built of the same circuits...
I ask myself if you actually GET the vocodizer in terms of modules for the mod3. I don´t want to spend double the money if I don´t have to.

Rugurt, I've made to myself same question than yours, indipendently...
And I answered.
See my actual VocoderPRO44 44 bands MONO and Vocoder VocoderPRO33ST 33 bands STEREO here:

Used with right carrier signals in my opinion they are killers.
Now I'm working on a 55 bands... (but it's tuely the limit).

I have both. Vocoder modules are very good, and as bob4u has shown they can achieve killer results. They are very good to build special configurations, for example I made a simple Vocoder patch where the Synth sound or whatever you play in it just passes uneffected until you input any signal in the analysis path, in wich case the instrument gets vocodized by that signal:

On the other side the Vocodizer has another flavour, and it's superb i.m.o. If you want that full vintage Vocoder sound, it's fantastic.
Vorb is another flavour again, killer sound, extremely powerful and a character on his own...consider only that it's made by the same people whe designed FleXor, that's to say the most incredible sounding filters for the platform.
If you are a fanatical vocoder user, you shouldn't miss anyone of the three..
