man this has absolutely tons of potential!
It's be so much fun to mix this...very cool foundation.

The slow break about one minute from the end is to die for.

I like the last minute a lot! Perfect balance of sounds and space.

Somehow it isn't quite as awesome at the beginning. I think maybe that first drum groove is just a bit too much too soon. Ohterwise I love it!

Only other thing, I would set the wet/dry mix on the effect on the spoken part a bit more to dry, the DDL swamps the words and they are cool and should be heard.

This is real piece of work, maybe just a little more massaging of some of the levels at the first drum groove and it's golden!

Well done!

Yes good one! The start is not 100% though. Couldn´t really say what it is but the sound textures in their context seem to need time to really come tohether. Later on it´s a well balanced composition of them.
The beat if standing exposed like in the beginnig has a somewhat too driving microtiming. In the context later on it´s perfectly tight but here it comes too stuttering (for my taste).
All with the question in mind if the mix should be a radio mix (weak intro) or a club mix (no "flesh" in the beginning)

thanks for the views

Glad to hear you apreciate the drum and bass tip.

i fully take on board your critics and they are points to take note of.

as for the intro, it is designed to be mixed in to a preceding track for a club venue. on it's own maybe the beats are too much for some peoples taste.

nprime when you say "It's be so much fun to mix this" do you mean you would like to have a go putting your flava on it. if so, sure fine, that would be cool.

cheers for listening and posting a review guy's

Keep Rollin'

Having just listened to the track i'm overwhelmed by the precise clean engineering that went into it. Certainly hits all the right spots. I'm looking forward to some more Liquid Edge.

...i've also listened to some of the other tracks and they also rock!

i havn't got round to doing an outro yet. it is a bit of a shock when it stops.

Glad you say that as it shows that the track holds interest till the end (well not end at the moment)

Cheers

Hi there Liq,

Great tune, the female vocal is perfect for this tune, really like the atmosphere you have going on in the background, drums sound good too, great bass aswell, is that a CW driven bassline or was that from Reason?

Another fine tune

Cheers!
