today the czech republic and the rest of the world lost one of it's hockey legends, Ivan Hlinka.
He passed away at the hospital after being involved in a severe car accident.
Hlinka lead his czech team to an olympic gold medal in the 1998 winter olympics in Nagano and had agreed to once again coach his national team in the upcoming world cup of hockey.
i just thought i'd mention this since he has ment a great deal to, not only czech hockey, but ice hockey in general.
both as a player and a coach.
i suppose this means that the rest of the players/coaches in the hockey world moves up a notch.
