grouping mixer faders

Hi ,
I'm trying to control 6 mixer fader levels with one other "master" fader ...... any suggestions ? Michael

Use STM2448, you can group faders in this mixer.

Dynamixer has 4 fader and 4 mute groups, the STM2448 has 8 of both.

Using MIDI, you can make groups on any knobs and faders. Grab a modular shell, throw in ValMonitors (flexor's or these), like the amount of faders you want to control, and assign CC# to them as to the mixer faders. Then control a ConstVal by MIDI from your sequencer/remote surface/mouse, and connect the ConstVal output to all the ValMonitors' inputs...

I don't quite understand how the ValMonitors are linked to the mixer faders? I can see that they'd each reflect the value of the ConstVal module, but then how does that control the faders (as they've no output)?

The MIDI link was left out the story above, I'm sorry, wasn't too clear about that...

So ValMonitor 1-6 can be assigned CC# 11-16 for example, same assignments have to be made to faders 1-6 and the patches' MIDI output has to be connected to the Mixer's MIDI input.

Thanks once again . Yes, Marcuspocus,I had read in manual about the mixers' mute+fader groups..was thinkin more about the approach Atomic is talking about...couldn't find the ValMonitor module though...is it somewhere in the orbitone site still ? Regards, M

at0m|c has posted a link to the 'home grown' ValMonitor module in his post above. The other alternative is to purchase Flexor (well worth it!)

Nothing home grown really - it's made by ReD_MuZe, the main Adern/Flexor programmer. I posted it on z with his permission...
