It sounds awesome!! I don't think the demos covered enough aspects of the synth -- PolyMod, Sync, etc. -- but what they do have sounds wonderful. Even from listening to the demos on dinky little iBook speakers, I think it sounds even better than the CEM emulation. It's definitely going to be better than that crap Pro-53.

It's good to see CWA's still around. I just hope they get the SDK out SOON!!!!!

Hmm...they didn't use the Celtic font for the product name. I wonder why?

Is there much difference in this than the Pro One, and more so is this supposed to be the same as Zargs Prophat Plus just with a different skin?

Any one know?

Also, any upgrade path like there was from Zarg's Pro One to CW's?

hi is it just me or doesn't that demo song and the demo sounds sound crap...i'm sure the actual synth sounds briliant really but those sounds arn't going to sell the product to those who don't know anything about the synth, admitedly i don't, but i know it's supposed to be a classic so will most likely get it.

And yes what is the difference between johns one and this, shall i get johns before it disapears?

Sounds great, but I can't get my copy to respond to program changes. Can anyone confirm this?

Sounds good to me. Very crisp, but rich at the same time. About the woodgrain finish, hmmm, looks a bit too fake.

You can just fly through some presets and tell it's got a nice sound.

Another crap demo from Creamware
Really guys, why don't you let some of those real musicians who you interview on your site make a few demo songs (more than one!) that don't sound like they were made at the same time the original analog synth was built.

And please clean up the confusing situation with John Bowen's own Proph@t.
I really don't see why we need two emulations of the same synth anyway.

Ah well, I'm sure it sounds awesome and all that

btw, I think the CWA Pro-One was developed from scratch and not based on the Zarg Pro One, so maybe that's the case with this one as well.
The Zarg Prophet seems to have more features as the new CWA one, like wav oscillators

I agree. Seems to be a lack of strategy, unless the strategy is to retain the rights to all the technology that John develops and release products that mirror his, with some tweaks.

Even then, I don't know what arrangement they have with him, but from experience, John is way to cool and would never say anything even slightly negative (you have to respect that).

Hi All,

Just wanted to mention - I'll be removing the Proph@t Plus from sale at the end of this month.
If you have any questions regarding differences between the Profit 5 and my version, please send me an email.

Cheers,
