I have installed the version 3 software on Win2k all seemed to go well but whenever i start Nuendo i get an error message saying:
" XTC Plug not properly installed ".
Anyone come across this error. The xtc plugs are accessable in the vst instruments/vst effects menu though!! Strange??

Two things:
Drag all plugins requiring a key into a "normal" pulsar project, enter the keys for each. You do this once.

Now load in XTC mode again. I think after that, it should be fine.

Standard install not the pro pack.

I'm actually having a similar problem,
also with the Standard install.

Try to run xtc mode + nuendo=Registration of "Xxxxxx Xxxx" dialog pops up eventually.
(I've got Pulsar 1, dual p2-300/512Mb, win2k running pulsar os3 driver v3).

Since I've COMPLETELY wiped all remains of 2.04, and I've insure that all traces of v3 are gone everytime I try a reinstall I don't think it's some device unknown to me that needs a key.

The thing is, I will also eventually get this in the Regular/Desktop mode if I open enough devices at once. Makes me wonder if there's a bug and i get it when nuendo loads because of all the plugins being initialized.

I hope this gets fixed as right now I cannot use xtc mode and OS mode frequently loses the registration mode. As an example Just so it doesn't seem as if I'm on crack, I got the following message when trying to load the Midi Filter a little while ago:

Copy Protection violation!
Don't mess around with the copy protection!
Restart the program to continue.

You've got the same symptoms as me!
I too have started to get Copy protection errors in pulsar GUI as well! I re-installed without XTC Support for now until this bug gets fixed. This release again by creamware has trully fulfilled my thoughts that they dont know what they are doing! I noticed that you have a dual cpu system on Win2k like myself although mine is 1ghz each, i would not be suprised that creamware did not even test there software on a dual cpu capable machine. There 2k beta release was a joke and did not work, and it looks like Pulsar 3 is a bigger joke! They have probably changed the autorisation/security coding because PARADOX cracked it and now we have to pay the price for this change.
How can it ask me for a activation key/code for the enclosed FREE devices?
Numerous emails to creamware and i still get no reply. Thats customer support for ya!!

of course same error here!!
modular don't appear in the list of my vst plugins so it seems that the new protection of CW sucks

Modular 2 is not part of the standard update. You need the Pro Pack upgrade for that i'm afraid. Check out The Forums On Creamwares site i'm having a right battle with these so called CREAMWARE USER EXPERTS!!
These people just dont understand that Creamware products struggle when you use them in a dual cpu capable machine. Its just Badly written Drivers/software. Even though there is nothing to gain from Pulsar in a dual cpu machine because it relies on its own DSP Chips, these people do not understand why? I use a dual cpu for Nuendo and Cubase because it supports multi-processing for Audio/Fx i can do more than a single cpu user.
