Windows XP + mt4140 seems to be a bad combination. Can't get it goin.
When I install the mt4140 it's installed as a 2120. Even though I install with the drivers from the Ego-Sys site. I've heard from different sites that Ego still have problems with this 4140 and Windows XP.
I have several synths connected through the terminal - virus indigo, korg karma, nova novation plus one korg ES electribe. It gets signals from every synth (Flashing lights on the terminal) but no response in the computer.
And when i try to set the preferences in cubase sx it doesnt find any midi at all?????
I have downloaded drivers from Ego-sys homepage but i do not know if they are reliable in this case?
Anyone else who had this problem?
*I do NOT want to install win98 again, hehe*
thx in advance!
Ego-sys 4140 + xp ?
well, be careful with this midi interface.
I have the same one with XP and it works fine.
There is a subtility when you install it.
You have to reboot the machine twice.
Read carefully all the info available on the ego sys site to make sure you went through the whole install procedure.
I'm not sure but here is how it goes
install the driver
reboot the pc
open the little clock and click on detect device (or something similar)
then reboot again
it should work that way.
If not your interface might be defect.
