I need a Sysex generator to emulate Logic Control

I just purchased a Behringer BCF2000 motorized fader controller, which I want to use to control Logic 5.51. I programmed al faders and buttons according to the manual of the Logic Control and everything works fine, but there is no fader feedback. In order to make it work I should send some sysex handshake messages. I found out that the button object in Logic doesn't support this long sysex format.
Logic Control Surface sents a query: F0 00 00 66 00 F7
The answer should be : F0 00 00 66 10 01 42 6C 77 53 4A 62 73 00 00 00 00 F7
Then Logic Control Surface sents : F0 00 00 66 10 02 42 6C 77 53 4A 62 73 00 00 00 00 F7
Answer : F0 00 00 66 10 03 42 6C 77 53 4A 62 73 F7

Then Logic Control Surface askes for a firmware version:
F0 00 00 66 10 13 00 F7
the reply should be: F0 00 00 66 10 14 56 32 2E 30 20 F7

Is there any way to create a device that generates these messages in Scope?

Just wondering how you managed to get the behringer bcf2000 to emulate logic control? I have one also and would dearly love it to work with logic. All advice greatly appreciated

Sorry, I was on holyday.
You can make Logic believe there's a Logic Control connected by sending the handshake procedures stated in the LC manual. I had it all working.
Now Behringer provides us with a great working Logic Control emulation.

And for those who don't know.....the firmwre version is now 1.07 which supports directly Logic Control/Mackie Control (just connect USB or MIDI in/out and launch Logic Audio 5.5.1 PC!), Baby Hui, Hui, Nuendo/Cubase SX, Pro Tools, Pro Tools LE, Sonar and there is the ability to program it for SAW, Ableton, SCOPE...etc....Great bit of gear...4 of them with change to spare would cost the same as 1 Mackie Controller...bargain

I must admit i fancy a controller and the budget for the BCF2000 screams yes! Is it any good? Is it accurate and will the faders reset to the same place each time? Tell us more about this, take a video of it in action if possible!

Yes, the faders seem to return to the same place.
Yes it works with Scope. You can even trigger note on/off using the keys. It does nearly everything the Logic Controller does in Logic only it's quite a mindf*$k! to remember all the combinations of modes and possibilities as each button can have three layers of function when combined with other keys which act as 'shift' keys.

With Logic, the 'Touch' and 'Latch' modes will NOT respond perfectly to the fader movements as tthe faders of the BCF2000 are NOT touch sensitive...

The moving faders are impossible to overide during playback even with much pushing and pulling as long as the motors are operating...This can be overcome though by simply creating a shortcut key in the logic 'key commands' page in Logic which lets you 'punch-in' to 'write mode' while the track is playing back (IMPORTANT!!! make sure you turn off pan, mute, solo in the 'Automation settings' record dialog box first to avoid erasing other important track automation data!!).
This way you can take over from the motorized fader and ride the vocal trake for example and fix up areas of it's volume on the fly...This works quite well and is an acceptable compromise until Behringer get the automation support totally sorted out which they seem more than capable of doing...Logic offers support for 'Touchless Faders' like the BCF2000s but this click box in the setup page of the Logic Controller appears not to be working with the current V1.07 Bios for the BCF2000...

There is a 'view' program which duplicates the screen from the Logic Controller and this little program hovers over Logic and shows exactly what you are adjusting on the controller. Very clever. (PC only at the moment-though OSX support may come).

You can program it easily and store up to 32 internal presets (using sysex dumps or with the free editor for PC). It's no Euphonix console but does the job quite nicely if you have some patience and want to save some cash for gear that actually makes sound.

Are the faders touch sensitive in other programs?
