i only noticed this a couple of days ago.
before i updated to cubase sx2(sx1 before) i used to be able play cubase and switch between sfp and sx plus run soundforge and record output from vocodizer into it.now i seem to be lacking power and even trying to open sfp mixer stops playback in sx.
is sx2 that much heavier on cpu or have i done sth wrong?
or maybe you could give me an idea how to record vocodizer output in this situation.
cheers, kris
can't switch between sfp and cubase freely
Its my impression that due to PDC and other changes in the audio engine performance in Sx2 will drop compared to what it used to be (perhaps even as low as 75% of what it was). With PDC if you're aware of what it is doing (you used to compensate for latencies by hand) you can minimize the impact of PDC. Yau can also disable it entirely in settings but I'm not sure if you can manually override PDC values for individual plugins as you can in Samplitude (I think its only a global setting).
Since I'm really a Logic user who works with others that use Sx feel free to correct me if I am mistaken in my impressions
