As some italians claim - its been a Swedish/Danish conspiracy from the very start!

And Sweden - England in semi final? That would be great. With England having a swedish coach and all, its all set for yet another conspiracy!

I'm hoping for a Holland - Czech Republic finals!

I'm so happy after what happened yesterday. I did not believe the Czechs would win against Germany, but they did!

I'm not that optimistic.
I think we'll get a France-Tsjech or a Portugal-Tsjech final.
Holland isn't really good at all

I am very sorry with Figo player of the year 2001 i believe. He was taken out from the match against England and now the match evolves to a fantasic and maybe historic match for Portugal. He left the field with a big neck and without any cheer to his team or team chief.
He is one of my favourite soccer players ever, he is an idol in soccer.
It´s like our team chief that has left our team after germany lost.
Every Euro championship has a big follow to most of the teams.
The first match extension, Portuga vs England has started.
Yes, I love soccer, I love to see the crowd cry, laugh and celebrating.
Now the Euro 2004 has started really.

I don't like it when, after half an hour, the goal getters are on their way to the hospital. By "accident", of course. Very unpleasant. Okay, the goal was matter of interpretation. The 5 meters is the "holy circle" of the keeper. To interpret that the second english player jumped for the keeper to prevent to catch the ball is allowed, but IMHO wrong. That guy wanted to make a goal. Why where these two guys free??? That's my question. So the keeper had to jump into them to catch the ball. He jumped too short. That's all.
And that's the problem with the so called "home referees".
Davids: agree, but most of these come "with announcement", so maybe yellow cards can cure this "rubber leg syndrome"?

I think we can have it both ways - we didn't DESERVE to win, but we SHOULD have won ...

Should have won, because they DIDN'T score (well, only once) and we DID. I can't see that there is any doubt that Campbell's header was a goal - the linesman certainly thought so ...

IMHO England were pretty average once they lost Rooney... it's completely immaterial had England won - they would have had to play the rest of the tournament without Rooney (broken foot) - better to bow out now than be exposed to be the average team they are without the Roon-ster (a fact which didn't escape any knowledgeable football fan last night).

I think the rest of the England team can learn a hell of a lot from Rooney about quality of play, hard work and just the simple but enjoyable act of *playing football* rather than being over-awed by the occasion. The boy always plays like he wants to actually *play*. Let's not forget that football is a game, and not some kind of strategic war.

Personally I dont think there is any "should have" or "deserve" in football. Either you score or you dont. Unless of course in those very rare situations where the referee makes a huge mistake that changes everything. Fortunately those happen very seldom. Regarding Campbells goal opinions differ. I remember the expert commentator on Swedish television felt the ref was right, one english player did block the portugese goalie, he said. Personally I found it really difficult to judge.

But if a swedish goal was taken away from us under the same circumstances, I´d scream bloody murder
