Had to reload on new powerful PC pulsar XTC and Sonar 3, the latency on XTC Synths is unbearable.

If I work on a loop to write and edit it gets even worse, deteriorating at every passage.

Then only way it works is if I let the track run start to finish with a predelay on the midi track, which is not even constant, its different for each synths. Like -22 on poison and -190 on bluesynth.

help GaryB or anybody please.

Buenas noches, senor Violante :wink:

Maybe this will help you, or maybe you already know this, I´ll mention it anyway:

XTC mode does not remember your ULLI settings unless you do the following:

Add the following entry into your /SFP/App/Bin/Cset.ini under item
[XTC-config]:

intBlkSize=x

whereby x is a values out of 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 and translates as follows to the card's latency:

64: latency = 3 ms
128: latency = 4 ms
256: latency = 7 ms
512: latency = 13 ms
1024: latency = 25 ms

A wrong latency will still be displayed in the ULLI Settings of the ASIO Control Panel, but you can ignore this.

Hope this helps, otherwise you might need the assistance of one of the real gurus on this forum, and not just a bumbling newb like me :wink:

Ah, Italian eh? You guys are so screwed once we finish off Bulgaria and Denmark. Mark my words!

(sorry, couldn´t resist. Im going mental from waiting for the Euro 2004, hehe :wink: )

Anyway, if that doesnt help, I´d advise you to post on the problem solving forum. I get the impression that more people read there, and that will increase your chance of getting help from someone who REALLY knows what hes´s talking about.

Hi Nisse, ready for Euro? of course i don't mind, all jokes are about the games here in London.

listen i tried to copy that code but it' doesn't even let the XTC start. Maybe is the way i put it in, I dont know. If you have time maybe copy me the exact code has you have it on your scope bin, all the XTC congig paragraph up to the next empty line.

[XTC-Config]
AddHost=1
intBlkSize=128

This is how it looks in my Apps/bin/cset.ini file. All I did was to enter the number 128 by the intBlkSize which would correspond to a latency of 4 ms.

Hope this helps.
