Hi everyone,

I've discovered a couple of problems with Scope 4.0 compared to 3.1c:

All the mixer meters have slowed down in framerate. The original meters a long time ago were slow, then they sped them up and got really snappy for 3.1, and now with 4.0 they've slowed down again. This happens with all the mixers. Has anyone else noticed this?

The "FadeInOut=0" fix for 4080L doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm getting the "doesn't operate when you load a project" syndrome and it's unexpectedly cutting out. It's a bit nerveracking because in the past, before I found out about the FadeInOut fix, the reverb would sometimes output 0db noise unexpectedly. I'm afraid it'll do it again.

I could of course switch back to 3.1c, but I really think they've fixed a few bugs with 4.0, especially the Live Bar. I'd hate to have to go back.

If anyone has any advice (Kim, are you still around??), please let me know!

Thanks,

Shayne

Have you (tried) contacting CW support with these issues?

I've been bugging them a lot lately regarding a defective board, and I don't want to provoke them again.

I can put up with the mixer meters, it's fine, but I'm really worried about the 4080L. Do any of you use it, and if so, has it been working OK?

Thanks,

For me the STW devices often don't load properly when I open a saved project. This happens most often with the 4080 Reverb (going back many years) and sometimes with the CompX. Reloading the device is the fix. I never had anything as obnoxious as 0dB white noise - I'd never use the plug again if that happened to me.
I have the "FadeInOut=0" line in Cset.ini

re: slow meter

You didn't set SFP to Low Priority? That slows down the meters...

I figured out the problem...it was the "ASyncLoopTime=100" entry! When I got rid of it the mixer meters went back to being fast. I wonder if that will fix the 4080L now? I'll do some more testing and see.

That entry didn't improve ASIO performance anyway, so I'm glad it's gone!!
