after physically removing and putting back pulsar 2 card ,wave drivers dont seem to work anymore-media player or any software that d o n't use asio ,cant find the audio drivers.
only cubase, under asio scope drivers ,works, but seems cpu load is bigger and all system works slower.
i tried restoring the system with a ghost program ,to a stage when all worked fine , but still the same.
can it be an IRQ issue (maybe putting the card in a differnt slot?)or physical damage?
thanx in advance for any idea

system:
win xp pro clean install
pulsar 2 scope 3.1c
cubase sx 2.2

AMD 2400 + CPU
Gygabyte GA7VT600
ATI RADON 9000PRO
adaptech scsi 9120
network card
midex 8
2 ide HD
1 Scsi HD

may be try to desinstall the wave drivers, then reinstall them again. It happened to me (in a computer without CW hardware) after trying to install winamp5 : after that, no wave driver was recognized.
So go, in system properties, desisntall the drivers and reinstall them again. It should work fine again after that.

Its possible that you have too many wav driver entries in your registry. I know that it would be more helpful if I could provide a link (i've had to manually remove wav & midi drivers myself before) but I'm tired atm. Sorry

here:

if it is a dead driver issue, it's a windows issue and the link has the fix.

Thank you

I'm awake now and that's exactly the link I was thinking of.
