One of the reasons for getting a DSP card was the hope I could do things an ordinary CPU couldn't. For example the idea of a Resynthesis engine interests me, this is very CPU intensive. What I would really love would be to do resynthesis in a similar way to how Vector synthesis works - only instead of using wave samples you would have a number of resynthesised samples and be able to morph between them in realtime along a "vector" drawn along an XY axis (or even better a 3D axis). At the moment only Kyma offers this but surely it's more possible on Scope than it is using native processing?

that requires lots of memory. which we don't have.

Um no - but computers usually have some knocking about  Can't you use that like resynth VSTi's do but adding the procesing muscle of the DSP?

Even an additive synth would be a good start.

thanks - uh what is this? Is it for modular or a standalone freeby?

Have you tried CW stock Modular III patch Addi8 ?

It's an additive synth with the possibility to have a different mix of the two envelopes in the patch for every partial, very effective but very dsp economizing, considering it's additive...I recommend it
