I do not live alone, I moved in with another freak about half a year ago. It's not a matter of earning a lot of money, it's a matter of priorities.
I work irregular and long hours, but every 4th week I'm home  Priorities do no concern money, but also devotion and perseverance. Last week off -that's 7 days  -, I left the house twice, for about 30minutes, to go shopping for food. The rest of the time, I spend on music and sleep.

If you don't ie. go clubbing every week and save the money, you'll be amazed how quickly you can buy some gear

Btw, I have no TV and the car I bought 3 yrs ago for 1000$. You?

Enjoy the music,

atomic.

Hey guys,
got a stupid question
What must I do to use these programs with
my sts 2000. I have burnt it to cr-rw. But now my pulsar browser cannot read these sampleprograms. What type of sampleprograms
are these files (Akai S5000 I guess). And how can I convert them to akai s3000 or akai s1000. I´ve read before something about
awave. Can awave convert the files with ending ***.akp ***.akm to a s1000 or 3000 format?
Thanks for any help

S5000 uses wav files and DOS partions I think. shouldn't be too hard to find converters.

Yeah, use awave and open the .akp file. Shouldn't be too much of a problem.

And Atomic, you're right about the priorities. :> If I would spend as much time selling my music, as I spend on composing, I'd be a little more well fed. haha.

Ken, I am slowly converting the files to s1000 format with Awave. The problem I'm getting though is that splits are all wrong in the EXS24. Can you try the Cellos and Violas and tell me if the splits come out right for you in the ST-3000.(I'm really having the hardest time getting the ST-3000 to work for me. Can't load anything in it. Yes, I did do the RTFM thing)

Got a tip for you guys...go out and grab a S-5000 for under a grand...came home with one yesterday and upgraded it to the latest OS...and...wow...my free Akai downloads are NOW comin' to life, easily. Just stream 'em right thru my orb into my new unit...what is it? Is it a Sampler? Is it a Synth?? Only the Shadow do! Even tho the Z will be out within a month, I don't think I'll be tradin' in this fallin' off a log S-5000 very soon.

I can't seem to get into the Akai FTP, password is incorrect, I set my username and pass to anonymous, and to email etc.

Have they closed it off? Or is it just me.
Anyone want me to put it on my server?
If the server is no longer public then yes please kensuguro.

I am trying to get access, but it won't let me log on anonymously either.
