Where can I find a list of the new features and bugfixes of Scope 4.0 ?

I think that this "new" Scope is only a buffoonery

I'll stay with 3.1 until they will release a REAL serious update with HyperThreading compatible and new good WDM drivers for my Sonar 3.1 ,

until then please Creamware take for you Scope 4.0, I don't need it.

Scope 4.0 has some dsp load, midi timing and graph. speed optimizations. I know that they are not glamourous, but it's a very good work, and useful, very effective for the professional users.
It is a "free" upgrade, with a nice offer of 50% price discount for plugs on activation...
See what other companies (Steinberg, Pro Tools) are doing with upgrades....considering that CWA came out from insolvency with huge sacrifices, your rant sounds quite unfair.

C'mon, this guy probably just had other expectations from Scope 4.0 than you had..... no need to flush him for that

maybe you're right, but there were enough of those blind shouting types with a big mouth while being badly informed about the current situation.
If I would see a new update without obvious changes, I would start thinking...and inform myself by reading here before stepping in and start insulting, Alfonso says it all in a few words.
Sorry Ernest , I appreciate your action, but I don't see much reason to recall my words
However: it still is very well possible that I'll choose Italy as my next holyday destination...

hey man , what's your problem ?

In italian we say "Buffonata" or "presa per il culo" or in sicilian "Pigghiata pu' u culu" , ok ? I really don't know which is the perfect translation, do u understand the meaning of "buffonery", it 's enough for me.

Ok, what I want to say is that Creamware could wait some more time and release a real good and useful update instead of releasing this

First of all I suggest you to stay in your country, we have a lot of tourist every year and we don't need a fuckface like you.

Then you could answer to my post in another way because I wasn't offending you , ok dude?

......... now that we know about your toilet habits and facial details, can we now be nice again to eachother?

I think Creamware *should* address the Hyperthreading issues, as this technique becomes pretty mainstream these days on the Intel-platform... let's wait and see what Scope 4.1 will bring

Jeez, it's not like anyone has to pay for 4.0 (or any update yet), so how can you complain about something you haven't even tried which is free anyway. Are we getting the CW Forum overflow hear or what?

Mr A

Note - fun words: buffoonery
not-so-fun words: fuckface  (this is Planet Z, not KvR!)

well, whatever that slang means, but obviously an imprortant aspect of the so called up-grade seems to be overlooked completely:
the licensing  now all Scopes are considered equal.
Anyone remembers the Luna Propack Pulsar Scope mess ?

btw I didn't upgrade my Win98 yet - and probably never will, but at least this saved me from the latest (Sasser) internet worm trouble

up-grading by itself (with improvement expectation) is nothing but a fairy tale - or a relict of the old days of 8 bit computing

I'd rather check out if the 'new' content really fits my needs (or if I need it at all...)

cheers, Tom

ciao ,

si che non sia proprio una nuova versione l'avevo capito , la cosa che non capisco è perchè la Creamware non abbia aspettato un pò e abbia fatto uscire una nuova versione anzicchè darci questo contentino... boh?

Do u say that the update is free? I don't think so . 1000 euro for a Pulsar 2 worth 100.000 free updates

????? Well you said you had 3.1c so yes it's free.

Well hubird's 'attack' was hardly the most vitriolic in internet history and he wasn't the one who started using expletives, so no you you didn't answer with same words. Also using such phrases as 'fuckface' just demeans your argument and starts unnecessary flaming, which is not something liked around these parts, that's why we come here for a more 'civilised' discussion.

i think hubird was just expressing a view that since SCOPE 4 came out there seems to have been a disproportionate amount of antagonistic posts from new members.

Whatever happened to "Hi i'm X from XX and Planet Z looks like a really cool place to hang." as a first post. Now it's "CW sux. SCOPE 4 sux. Stick it up your arse." which as an introduction is bound to get people's backs up. This is not directed personally at you, just giving you some background as to why some may be a little weary of such opening posts.

Anyway, all the best,
Mr A

well,we do have a number of aggressive new posters, don't we?

it never ceases to amaze me how much people can complain about that which is free. for your $1000 you got the card and os. cwa owes you nothing. check out the wording of the users agreement. at least there ARE SOME improvements in 4.0. when emagic released 5.0 for pc they prmptly discontinued it.(no more than six months later it was OVER) it didn't matter that it cost $700 and had bugs. emagic fixed a few bugs and then let their loyal users twist in the wind if they didn't buy a new mac. be thankful that cwa didn't just do that with their company.

take your complaints to cwa. all this forum can do is offer help to those who need help. if you need help ask. if you have help give it. if there are issues that need discussion let's discuss them, but please leave the pointless "they suck, you suck, it sucks" behind. if you are a hater go someplace where hate is appropriate.

hi eyesight,

that shouting rings my eyes, and your arguments are hard to follow - alfonso isn't claudioD
there's a CWA forum (obviously) featuring that 'style' of discussion, it's up to you to choose where and what to contribute...

cheers, Tom
