How do I send MIDI to a VST2 Plugin?
The new Auto-Tune 3 has MIDI input and also there are some MIDIgate plugs too.
I use Logic 4.7.3 (MAC) but PC users might help anyway

in the arrange window, name a track "a playback"(channels 1-16 on the audio mixer) "b playback"(channels 17-32 on the audio mixer) or "buss automation"(busses on the audio mixer).record enable the track and press RECORD. move parameters to record the movements in real time. all should be well......

What parameters? I already know basic automation. I want to use my keyboard to control pitch with auto-tune 3.

Sorry man. I believe you'll have to wait for Logic 5 for that one. And it has been postponed to Januari 2002.

I just spoke to the most knowlegeable person i know about Logic automation. He told me Emagic is coming out with a MIDI controller for automation purposes. This device is supposed to come out along with Logic 5.0.
Cheers!

my bad...
if i didn't understand the prob...
i thought you wanted to automate your changes made in real time to vst's. i didn't see that using a different controller(other than the mouse) was the goal.
ah,well...

so, auto-tune 3 must be exclusive for Cubase VST users... damn.
ArrrGg.... I'll be waiting for a reply from emagic, maybe they'll fix this with some sort of upgrade....
Let's wait and see.
Ciao

I got a reply from a tech at emagic, he said they'll be fixing the issue soon with a patch. So seems we don't need to wait for version 5.
