I have a big catalog of rock compositions, which I'm gonna bring to life.
This piece is kinda short, but I like to know your comments towards mixing, composition and arrangement. I have desided that I will use only standard rock instruments, Guitar, Drums, bass and vocals.
I play all instruments and do sing too. I don't feel good about my own voice, so I'm really want somebody else to sing this + get a band to perform the songs in a regular way.
Mixed in SPF, using UAD-1 as a backbone.

ROCK: Someones Crying
Excellent!
Can we hear more and can you post up some details about how you recorded everything. You've captured the sound of the acoustic guitar very well. What mic did you use and positioning? What kind of room are the drums in? The snare sound really cuts through nicely. Are any of the tom sounds triggered? The electric guitars sound like they're direct through a pod or something?
Want more!

I wish this was a little longer...
I really like it, it is very emotional, like most of your work. Brilliant mixing and arrangement, especially the drums.
I know it is quite hard to be happy with one´s own voice, but your vocals are really expressive and carry the song, so please keep on singing...

Phew. I'm so glad you liked this thing. I had my doubts on uploading the song, but I'm glad I did. It will keep my going on, and beleave in it.
The mic'ing of everything is pretty standard, and the mixing is really barebone and sketchy at the time beeing.
Acustic Guitar (which has like 5 years old strings on it, and is totally broken, with a big hole on the body) is mic'ed with a RØDE classic near the bridge. It has it own sound, and theres even a metronome in the signal.
Electric guitar is running through a POD.
Drums mics is all Shure, and CAD for overheads. Recorded in my studio recording room (37 m2). No triggers.

You definitely have no need to be afraid of your voice - it's beautiful, natural and honest.
2 things I noticed - there are two strange clicks when the vocals first come in.. and some of the harmonies are slightly off.
Love the sound of your broken guitar - adds a lot of character.
It will be a great song whoever sings it - careful, Coldplay may steal it
Cheers
