Hi mates,

finally i got the keys but i read here a lot of
problems so i think i ask you wich is the best way to install(garyb ? ).After i read that the old bugs are still there,i asked
myself if it is worth to risk my system stability or is better to wait(3 years or so...hehe)until scope 4 works bugless.
I compare the pulsar 2 drivers in sfp 3.1c with the"new" one in scope 4 and i wondered
that they are identical...!?
What do you mean abot it?
Thank you for comment.
Regards!

Why not just install into a new directory? I installed into C:SFP4 and everything works fine. The install did not attempt to update the driver so I assume the driver has not changed only the application.

gee, i just made a copy of my xtcproject,my device folder and my project templates onto the desktop for safe keeping and installed 4.0 right over the top of 3.1c. i put my old xtcproject file(which was overwritten in 4.0) in place of the new one and i was ready to go. there were no problems with overwrites in the device folder, everything was where it was in 3.1c, so it was easy. ditto on my projects, everything still in place. if you've changed the startup project be sure to save it as i'm sure it will be overwritten.

as to the drivers,i don't think that there were any real changes there. there were some new dsp files however, and there do seem to be real refinements in dsp loading. overall the program feels much quicker and smoother. i don't think that there are any show stopping reasons not to get the upgrade.

I installed it and every is fine until now.It found everythig either the projects, free plugins.Looks good .One thing i didnt like is
that i have to max the livebar to go into the setup, file, manual etc.DO you have the same needless "update"?
